The WAEC Basketry 3 (Project Work) for the 2026/2027 WASSCE is a practical examination designed to test candidates’ skills in designing and producing basketry items. It is part of the Trade Subjects requirement designed for vocational skill acquisition.
Structure: Candidates are presented with two practical project options, out of which they must choose and execute one.
Duration: The project is a long-term practical conducted over five days, with candidates working for six hours each day. Total Marks: The project carries a total of 80 marks.
Focus: The examination tests creative, manipulative, and technical skills in producing various basketry forms tailored to societal and cultural needs.
