WAEC Arabic 3 (Oral) Areas Of Concentration 2026/2027: Based on WAEC requirements, the Arabic Paper 3 (Oral) is designed to assess candidates’ proficiency in listening, speaking, and understanding spoken Arabic, usually carrying 30 marks.

The WAEC Arabic 3 (Oral) exam focuses on candidates’ ability to read, speak, and understand spoken Arabic effectively. Key areas include reading passages with correct pronunciation (Tajweed), proper intonation, and rhythm, as well as responding to questions in Arabic to demonstrate comprehension and spontaneous speaking ability. Candidates are also tested on Arabic phonology, ensuring accurate articulation of vowels, consonants, and word structures, alongside recitation of memorized texts and accurate dictation of spoken words.

To prepare well, candidates should build strong vocabulary for everyday communication, practice correct pronunciation—especially similar-sounding Arabic letters—and improve reading fluency by reading aloud regularly. Emphasis should be placed on clear and accurate speech rather than speed. Using past oral exam guides and consistent practice will help candidates gain confidence and perform better in the exam.
