WAEC French 3 Oral Areas of Concentration 2026/2027 focuses on listening comprehension, pronunciation, and spoken interaction, as the exam focuses on evaluating oral proficiency. Key areas of concentration, particularly with the transition toward more modern testing, include:

The examination consists of three papers: Papers 1, 2, and 3, all compulsory. Papers 1 and 2 are written together in one sitting.

  • Paper 1: 40 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 1 hour, carrying 40 marks.
  • Paper 2: Two sections with three essay questions each. Candidates answer one question from each section (2 questions total) in 1 hour 15 minutes, carrying 40 marks.
  • Paper 3: Tests listening comprehension, reading, and speaking skills. It lasts 40 minutes and carries 50 marks.

PAPER 1
